As the studio’s founder and creative director, Laura is closely involved in all projects. She received a bachelor in architecture in 2004 and a master in interior architecture two years later. After graduation, she was selected for a master program in Milan to develop innovational ideas for Cassina, Cappellini, Poltrona Frau and Alias. Later she continued to work with Alias in Italy, contributing to installations and expositions for the brand. Back in Belgium, Laura mainly worked on retail projects before establishing her studio in 2009. A strong connection with Italy’s design scene remains an inspiration in her work.

Sophie is a project leader at Studio Tolleneer. Being in charge of the general administration, she is also the studio’s office manager. Sophie received a bachelor in architecture in 2004 and a master in interior architecture in 2006. After graduation, she moved to Milan to further specialise in lighting design. This additional degree was put into practice working as a lighting designer at renowned brands and architecture studios in Italy. After returning to Belgium in 2010, she worked as an interior architect and joined Studio Tolleneer in 2015.

Ruth is a project leader at Studio Tolleneer. Having an additional degree in graphic design, she’s our social media expert. Ruth received a bachelor in interior design in 2013 which she complemented with a master in interior architecture in 2015, including an international internship in Suriname. She joined the Studio Tolleneer team in 2018.

Willemijn is a project leader at Studio Tolleneer. Working in different fields throughout her career taught her a variety of skills that remain valuable in her job today. Willemijn received a bachelor in business administration in 2014 followed by jobs at a maritime logistics company and a project developer. She then decided to take a different road and study interior design, graduating and joining Studio Tolleneer in 2021.
